Lego Minifigures Series 12 & Series 13 Review Pictures

Just seems like yesterday, in the year 2010 when i bought my first Lego Minifigures Series 1, at a retail price of $3.90 each. After 5 years we now have Lego Minifigures Series 13.

Lego Minfigures Series 1 (S$3.90 each in 2010). Now in the year 2015,
it cost S$380-S$400 a set (Jan 2015 price from ebay Singapore)

The humble beginnings of Lego Minifigures Series 1 in the year 2010, that year i bought 2 boxes from retail at S$210.60 per box (10% discount). Sold most of my extra minifigures, to fellow collectors & family members. After series 1, lego fans/collectors/sellers realized that selling these minifigures can be so profitable. This month on local ebay, a set of Lego Minifigure Series 1 cost a cool S$400!!! At $25 per figure!! My advice to buyers is forget about it, just don't buy, skip them. From S$3.90 each to $25? More than 6 times increment....speechless.

Lego is issuing 3 Minifigures Series per year since 2010. If we include the Lego Movie Minifigs & Simpson Minifigs, there are now a total of 15 Series, 240 minifigures!! At this rate, i am sure many fans will give up, the main reason is running out of space.

the LEGO components in Minifigures Series 13 are now 100% produced in China. Cheap!

Piggy feeding pigs

Lego pieces are now produced in China, the hat of the princess is loose, it is not a tight fit. I had seen enough of these figures qualities over more than 20 years, since my primary school days. From European factories to China factories...standard and quality dropped, the lego minifigures had some kind of cheap plastic look. Profit all the way. I am not worried about commenting these because at S$4.90 per figure, consumers demand better. That is why for Lego Minifigures Series 13, i just bought 9/16 of them, couldn't be bother to have them all.

Wizards gathering..just rounded up a few for a picture.

this firey wizard is my favourite, he commanded the skeleton warriors

The Return of the King. Which king do you guys prefer?

Crownies King is my favourite.

welcoming the new king in the kingdom, his sword is make of plastic, preferred chrome.

plastic boardsword is a joke in the kingdom of knights.

Firey wizard leading skeleton warriors to battle (check my last post for more army pictures)

Blacksmith fighting off golbins. Golbins are one of my favourite figures in Series 13. I am glad that golbins are cheap...nobody likes them, that is where i picked up a handful of these fellows.

Behind the orcs raiders are the golbins ready to strike. Plundering, that is what they do best!
Will delicate a post for golbins in the next post.

Hun warrior, that is where the horns are from....

Lego Castle Fantasy Orcs, Troll & Skeleton Army

Was packing my lego minifigures yesterday when i saw my favourite orcs minifigures. Displayed them on the lego baseplate and have some fun...

Here are the pictures, it is not a huge army, just 20 plus minifigures, maybe adding 10-20 more minifigures will look better. Post any comments below.

Lego Skeleton Attack

one of the little pleasure in collecting lego is that we are able to display & have a little fun with them anytime (different theme). Checking my skeleton headcount after adding another set 7009 & 7090 two weeks ago.

Lego 3739 Classic Blacksmith Shop Review

The Medieval Market Village (10193), one of the most exciting set, is obviously influenced by the legacy of the classic Blacksmith Shop.

Released in 2002, with 622 pieces, 2 minifigures, this set was design by a lego fan Daniel Siskind. The first set in the "My Own Creation" series.

has a furnished interior and the upstairs is accessible
