Singapore Students to get free LEGO sets to commemorate SG50

This great piece of news is just released an hour ago. All the students & teachers in Singapore will receive a set of Lego "Building My SG" building bricks to commemorate Singapore's Golden Jubilee.

The bricks can be used in class to construct 3 iconic Singapore Landmarks - Cavenagh Bridge, Changi Airport and Garden by the Bay, each small set is representing a distinctive aspect of Singapore. Those in primary, secondary, special education, junior collages, ITE and polytechnics will receive their sets progressively by National Day.

 Kids be careful of the small bricks...it is hard to replace if lost!

It is just wonderful to be in school today! 600,000 sets are produced and will be given out free to all the students and teachers. I was informed that a secondary market had already started and people are profiting from this (selling online). Each set cost more than $100. IF you received this set, treat it as a present PLEASE do not sell. This is a gift from the nation afterall. It came once every 50 years!!! 

There will be a review of this set on the blog. My nephew & niece will be getting 1 set each. So stay tune.

At the Lego shop

Was in town yesterday, so I just snap a picture of the lego shop at Plaza Singapura. The first time visiting the shop, checked on the mini figures & key chains.


The giraffe at Bricks World was made using Duplo bricks, it has a missing horn, it will be good if they can repair it.

Wolfpack Hideout MOC Update (New Pictures)

The dark brown brick modified 1x2, log used for the chairs, is a must have for moc castles... with 50 pieces. The green pieces are from lego kingdoms 7949, found another 2 extra pieces for the 3rd chair.

I'm supposed to finish the wolfpack hideout on Saturday after getting all the pieces ready on Friday night.. however as anticipated, run out of bricks (black bricks 1x2), the 150 pieces had been used, so tomorrow, Sunday evening I will be collecting another 200 pieces, probably will use less than 100.

The black brick 1x1 are running low (50 pieces), 20 pieces of modified 1x2 black brick with grilled are used too.

This is the modified brick with grilled 1 x 2 (in grey), the 2 sides has different grilled lines.

The MOC can be completed by tomorrow, will upload the pictures shortly. It's definitely more fun to moc compared to building lego sets..

The idea to build a wolfpack home came after collecting my wolfpack & knights minifigures. Check 5 Aug post.

The black horses and skeleton horses/saddles packet belongs to a friend for army building.
Another 150 pieces of 2 x 1 black brick from an earlier purchase (might not be sufficent).

3 different horse headgears for future use..

The horses belongs to my friend, we combined postage for some savings.

A black horse with red horse headgear seems to match well.

This is the 2nd package, received today. Consists of bricks, plates, staircases, helmets, apples (for some use)


For yesterday & today, I received my orders from US, orders were placed about 2 weeks ago in Aug. I intend to build a wolfpack hideout. There are about 400 plus pieces, at the moment I'm not sure if there will be sufficient bricks.

Will update my creation in a few days time.. so do check again.
