Happy New Year to all, thank you for visiting the blog, i am in the process of clearing some of my lego collection & extra stock. Came across this set 2 weeks ago, think it will be reaching Singapore soon, will check out the store next week.

 


This is the 10th modular we will be getting this year. The lego modular town is expanding fast, with at least 2 new modulars to add every year!

Hi guys, coming 2013, we will be getting a new modular building. It will be the 8th modular building (if we include market street). Like Town Hall, it will be one of the most anticipating set for 2013.

Lego Shopping for September from New York

Hi guys, here is an update of September purchased (lego collection). This should keep me occupied for more than 2 weeks. The set had been removed from the box, which is then flattened.

Currently in US, Toy R Us is having a sale of " Buy 2 sets get the 3rd box free". This includes the 5 digit modular houses (sorry there isn't Town Hall), but there is Fire Brigade, GE... This is a great time for army builders, especially for LOTR 9471. Why spend $80 for this box in Singapore? It is just overpriced.

Fun with Market Street

A few days ago (during chinese new year holiday), i was trying to create a market scene for the market street modular (not satisfied with the original crates of fruits & vegetables), now this little corner was busier with more variety of goods for sales. From fresh fruits & vegetables to mugs, pots, pans, brooms and mops. Plus adding 2 minifigures.

Sorry for the poor photos without focus, i'm unable to take close up with my D7000. Will try to update more pictures later.

Lego City Residential Modular Houses MOC by Brian

Very nice MOC by Brain Lyles. They were modeled after 2 actual houses in Richmond, VA.

Updating the lego 10218 Pet shop, this set belongs to my sis, she's a modular collector. Total pieces 2032. Bought at a small shop at SGD 280, the official set will arrive in Singapore coming October.

Lego 10218 Pet Shop avaliable in US

for modular collectors, here's another set you guys need to get! I just saw this post on toysnbricks. There is no information on how soon we will have them in Singapore, estimate to cost around SGD300.

10218 Pet Store is a LEGO Exclusives Modular Houses set that is expected in May 2011. According to a Dutch LEGO shop, the set contains two buildings. One is a mansion (being painted by a painter) and the other part is a pet store. The set has several minifigures, a green bike, several animals including two parrots, a German shepherd dog, a new orange fish, and a brown cat. (from lego wikia)

Lego Modular Cafe Corner & Fire Brigade MOCs

Tonight i was checking some of the lego modulars, here are some of the interesting pictures on what AFOLs did in extending their modular buildings. (when you have more than 1 set, having time & patience sourcing for the extra bricks and importanly having the necessary storage/display space).

LEGO modular fan Groomy1978 has combined a few sets side-by-side to create this four-bay mega modular.

Here's a classic fire station created by markmuel on Brickshelf. A six-bay modular that can house 6 fire-engines (vehicles). Classic!

Lego MOC market street & others

The current market street is too expensive, we can always MOC a market street, making use of the cow & pig, and to build a nice traffic light post. It reminds me of seeing something similar, Victoria building style in Perth. That is why he named it Vic Market Street.
