AFOL - A Blocumentary

AFOL pronouce as AWFUL. A blocumentary produced last year, some of you might have watched it.

Part 1

AFOL : "ya i have a rough idea, & it's scary.." the scary part is spending USD 500 - 1,000 per month for the last 10-15 years.

AFOL with the goat beard: "i look for parts, i don't really care about sets.. but i do look for parts.." an AFOL indeed.

Part 2

with million of bricks stored everywhere, only an AFOL knows where to look for it.

Singapore AFOL's Lego Room

I'm delighted that a local Lego fan had allowed me to share his lego room pictures with everyone. A delicated special room just for Lego Fun!

I believe here are just some of his collection, not all are on display

Homer Simpson is a replica of the original work by Sean Kenney, the prolific and legendary Lego Master Builder, world's first Lego Certified Professional. (seankenney.com)

Road Runner & Marvin the Martian are instant favourite!
Plus the guru in meditation posture on the top shelf.

3450 Statue of Liberty Sculpture was released in 2000. It contained 2,899 pieces, stands 33" high and at the time was the largest lego set produced. White bricks were used instead of the original sand green.

LEGO FanWelt 2011 in Cologne,Tournament MOC

Received this update yesterday afternoon, i spend a whole 10 minutes looking at the detailed moc, thousands of bricks being used, more than a hundred interesting minifigures, what a massive project. This MOC by German AFOL is simply magical for castle fans.

Burg Stolzenstein Tournament - built by Annette and myself for FanWelt 2010 in Cologne - Pictures from SteinCHenwelt 2011 in Switzerland.

After we finished our Fantasy Era style castle "Burg Stolzenstein" my companion Annette and myself decided to continue with this MOC. So we built a tournament for the AFOLs event LEGO FanWelt 2010 in Cologne, Germany.

We already plan part #3! :)

we certainly look forward to part 3

Lego Modular Cafe Corner & Fire Brigade MOCs

Cafe Corner or just call it a Hotel. Reminds me of London Harrod's

Tonight i was checking some of the lego modulars, here are some of the interesting pictures on what AFOLs did in extending their modular buildings. (when you have more than 1 set, having time & patience sourcing for the extra bricks and importanly having the necessary storage/display space).

LEGO modular fan Groomy1978 has combined a few sets side-by-side to create this four-bay mega modular.

used at least 2.5 sets of fire brigade.

Here's a classic fire station created by markmuel on Brickshelf. A six-bay modular that can house 6 fire-engines (vehicles). Classic!

Lego Fan from Italy

Lego City from Salvo (Italy)

spotted a few classic lego city sets

See the unique hospital!!
it is certainly nicer than the lego hospital set.
I like his stadium too!

First A Very Happy Chinese New Year (Year of Rabbit) to everyone, for the last 2 days i was visiting friends & relatives.

Yesterday i received an email from an AFOL from Italy, we had a nice conversation. He send me pictures of his Lego city collection, rather than enjoying it myself, i guess it will be great to share here with friends from all over the world. A very nice CITY! (well from the size, it is certainly not a town)

In the first blog post last May, i welcomed readers to send me their lego collection pictures or any Lego MOC, it will be great to share with everyone!

Drop your comments below on this lego city :)

Brickcon 2010 Seattle Pictures

Hi fellow lego lovers, here are the pictures on the Brickcon 2010 in Seattle, I intended to post this a few days ago, anyway here it is. There are hundreds of pictures taken by Bill Ward, and it covered almost everything. Enjoy the pictures.

Here is the pictures on Brickcon 2010 on 3 October, starting from page 9 till page 31 of his photostream: Bill Ward's Brickpile's Photostream

There are also pictures from the BayLUG (Bay Area LEGO Users Group) meeting in San Leandro, in his album.

This is my favourite!

AFOLs featured in the Singapore Sunday Papers

Sunday Times 15 Aug, Life Section, Brick it On

From Singapore’s The Sunday Times Life! section on 15 Aug 2010. I do not have a scanner, by clicking on the picture, you can enlarge it and be able to read.

Below is another article on "Spending does not neccassarily mean happiness"... after reading the lego article, how true it is!! I reflect on lego itself, we are always going to collect and keep on buying more... often we forgot that the little collection we own will be sufficient to bring us simple happiness and joy.

Adult modular collector, this street cost a few thousand dollars to build ...

I skipped the article about the adult collector on Lego Robots.

Information on where to buy your Lego in Singapore, probably paid to get featured... advertisment.
