Following the sale of 4195 Queen's Ann Revenge in US & Singapore, well there is another pirate ship to look forward to later this year, 4184 Black Pearl (from Lego Toy Fair 2011). Amazing to have 2 big ships in one year.

A pirate fan from US had posted pictures of Queen's Ann Revenge (with 3 cannons only) together with Imperial Flagship, doing a comparison in terms of length & height, it is always interesting to see the ships together.

3 ships in a fierce sea battle (BP, QAR firing at IF), with the mermaid looking across the sea.

Pirate fans (including me) can look forward to the 3rd ship in about 6 mths time. 2 pirate ships having a sea battle with the Imperial Flagship will be AWESOME SCENE!

Lego Maersk Update 2011

Initially i was wondering why Lego produces Maersk ships & trains. Now i know why, a history of Maersk as described from Lego online store.

More than 550 Maersk Sealand Cargo liners sail the seas, carrying valuable goods to ports in 130 countries around the world. Established in 1904, this company is headquartered in Copenhagen, Denmark and is the leading container shipping company in the world.

Spend some time researching on lego maersk ships and found some pictures which i like to share.

This is what we have this year, currently avaliable on Lego Online Store.
10155 Maersk Container Ship, USD 119.90, 990 pieces.

The new version has two more pieces and the sticker/decal says “Maersk Line” instead of “Maersk Sealand,” but the set appears to be otherwise identical. 10155 Maersk Container Ship costs $120 (compare to the original at $75 seven years ago) and is available from the LEGO Shop online now. first reported on 3 Jan on brothers brick.

Lego 10152 Maersk Sealand from 2005 Edition, saw this ship for sale at Toy Station last year. Compared with 10155, a price difference and an additional 2 pieces. (Check the back of the box)

Pirates fans will surely add this ship, together with the Imperial Flagship we can create a little battle.

I have updates last night, the sets are now on sale at a Dutch online toy store (the pictures are really small). A total of 9 boxes, attached 3 pictures here, for the rest you can check on the link provided.

The retail price for Lego Pirates of The Caribbean are going to be very expensive because of licensing agreement with Disney. Will blog on the prices when I'm informed.

These 3 sets looks really exciting and i can see a lot of fun playing with it, will see how it goes in June. More pictures update shortly, this year is really awesome for lego fans.

Lego Motor Boat

Collectors of Lego City sets might like to consider including a harbour for their city/town (knew most of the city lego fans collected all the modular sets).

Here is a clip of a lego motor boat. If you played with radio controlled motor boats, adding the motor to create the lego boat shouldn't be too difficult.



A motor build of lego will required some knowledge and practice.



Viewed a couple of lego boats/ships clips tonight, I used to have a moc classic lego boat when I'm in primary three and it was my favourite toy. There was a photograph of me holding the MOC ship proudly. I took part in lego building competition during the 80s in Singapore, although I didn't win anything it was a nice childhood memory.

Imperial Flagship 10210

On Sunday, I made the decision to get this set, my brother made the purchase, we will probably share the ship, retail price in Singapore is $339.90 (member with 10% off). Buying it now, was because it will probably be no longer avaliable for sales in the next few months. A post on the flagship was made on May 28 and it took me more than 4 mths before going ahead to buy it. The major headache now is storage space, the ship will probably have to go right back into box after fixing.

The ship comes with 4 canons, probably need another 4 to make it complete/balance on both side. Will update more when the set is opened.

Lego 10210 Imperial Flagship

This ship is retailed at SGD339 (find it pricey as compared to USD179 in US retail) from the Lego shop. My friend bought it at SGD288 (member price) from the local toy store. The price of lego is always higher in Asia as compared to US and Australia. Am considering this set..
