Lego Pirates of the Caribbean Battle Pack Review

The battle pack figures:
Gunner Zombie, Jack, Yeoman Zombie, Scrum and King George's Officer
Jack Sparrow & Yeoman Zombie are having printed head on both side.

Having a close study with the earlier figures from 4191 Captain's Cabin to spot any difference. There is always a saying that the quality of the minifigures from the battle packs are usually not as good as those from the box set. It happens in Kingdoms and a few others. Overall i don't see much difference, but i still prefer the figures from the box set.

Yeoman zombie is not suppose to have the weapon sling, the hair becomes loose and come off quite easily. Fans will not mind the additional piece, good to hold the weapon and keep the hands free.

The Jack figure from the battle pack is unable to hold the compass. I'm not sure if the problem lies with the tile compass? The figure's hand is just too widen.

Overall nice to have this battlepack. More Zombie soldiers & King George's Officers for army builders.

Pirates of the Caribbean 4191 Captain's Cabin Review

This first POTC set review, 4191 Captain's Cabin. Pretty excited about the superb minifigures of Jack Sparrow and the two pirates, plus a few interesting new pieces. Total 94 pieces.

if we can just add them to the ship cabin, it will be awesome.
(too bad the ship is too small to accomodate them)

the printed bottle, with the 2 bottles mixed in the lego pieces, it is likely to have scratches to it, it happens to the second bottle, the details are not as great as this one.

Lego Pirates of the Caribbean Confidential?

From the Lego classic pirates in the early 90s to this year Pirates of Caribbean, how the pirates evolved. This year Queen's Anne Revenge.



Found out from the fbtb folks today. MTV Music had posted the latest Pirates of Caribbean pictures on their site. High resolution, I'm not sure if Lego issue a statement to them to remove it (probably not). Having viewed the product pictures about a month ago, we get clearer pictures now.

The new Pirates of Caribbean sets planned to be release in Singapore this May (information from Singapore Lego, mentioned in earlier post), the marketing plan should started rolling, why keep delaying the pictures? It is no longer confidential, the pictures are not watermark CONFIDENTIAL.

Check out the mermaid minifigures! What I will add to my pirates collection : Captain's cabin, London Escape, Queen's Ann ship and White cap bay, maybe cannibal escape too. Have a feeling that Queen's Ann ship is going to be more than SGD 300 (if that is the case, i have to think about it).

New 2011 Sets in Singapore Update

The new sets are now in Singapore. The Atlantis, City, Creator, Ninjago, Star Wars and Technics.

The new Minifigures Series 3 is avaliable now.

Pharaoh's Quest Battle pack is avaliable too at retail price S$24.90, this is expensive for just 3 figures!

Pirates of Caribbean will hit stores in May and Kingdoms will be in July.
