On a Sunday afternoon, i spend less than 1 hr to fix this set, i won't say this is a superb piece, what is special about this ship is being black throughout (i do like it) plus nice minifigures,
Davy Jones &
Maccus the hammerhead being my favourite. I don't really get the "wow" factor while fixing the ship, at around 800 pieces, in my opinion it is just too few pieces to really enjoy the building process. QAR has 1094 pieces, that is almost 3oo pieces more!
For local buyers who are getting this ship, i would recommend buying it at 20% off (which i got mine), or if you can't wait then at least get a 10% off. At $189.90, it is on the high side, a breakdown of $0.23 per piece.

Remarks: This is the first time i'm using D7000 to capture pictures for a lego review, i'm unable to take close up pictures has i don't have the right lens at the moment. I will be adding more pictures of the ship interior on this post (using my old panasonic Lumix). Welcome your comments below.

The almost complete ships belonging to jekyll, excluding the new Queen's Ann Revenge.
The 1st lego pirate ship was released in 1989 - Legoland 6285 Black Seas Barracuda. I was in secondary school at that time, my classmate bought this ship and i went to his house to have a look. It was out of my budget, i think the retail price was S$189.90 at that time. Instead i bought the 5 pirates minifigures box 6251 at $10.90 and that was almost my one week allowance.

This ship belongs to my nephew, bought at the lego warehouse sales for SGD 100. Lego almost close shop in Singapore due to its high prices, and there are clearance sales back then.
lego was so generous with the canons back then, comes with 4 canons.
The sister ship Skull Eye Schooner was released about 4 years later with black & white sails.

the printed bottle, with the 2 bottles mixed in the lego pieces, it is likely to have scratches to it, it happens to the second bottle, the details are not as great as this one.
