Becoming a professional playing LEGO.An interview on our local Lego Certified Professional Nicholas (his blog is on my blogroll). A Lego Certified Professional is not a Lego staff who draws a salary, in order to qualify and maintain the status, a LCP is required to pay the Lego company USD1,000 every year like membership. In return a LCP has access to all the bricks at a special price (for their building projects), attend special lego events and receive the first updates on lego products. It is not easy to become a LCP, you have to qualifiy for it by presenting your creation and work to Lego.
There are currently only 11 LCP in the world,
Nicholas is the only one from Asia. The other 10 are from USA (5), Canada, Australia, Germany, Belgium and Norway. Among the 11 LCP, only 1 female by the name
Beth Weis. The most famous among the 11 LCP are
Nathan Sawaya from New York (a lawyer who gave up his practice to become a LCP), another well known LCP also from US is
Sean Kenney (he is the first LCP).
