Lego New Police sets for 2011

The Police Station 7498 (USD 99.99)

The new Lego Police Station for 2011, are now avaliable in US TOYRUS.
Police Truck 7288 (USD 44.99)

7279 Police Minifigure Collection (USD 9.99)
The new dog with a printed face, new bagpack use to store stuff and a red crow bar.

City collectors can consider on these new sets, I don't find them appealing but since lego produces it every year, there must be a fan base for Lego Police and Fire Station. Hope they can come up with new hospital sets.

Master of Minifigures

Morgan190 created hundreds of customized lego minifigures, the characters he created are really fantastic & really creative. He produced his own decals for the figures, and if you are free do check all the designs.

The fantasy, halloween and historical minifigs are instant favourites.

In Memory of Daniel Jezek, Founder of Bricklink

Today we received the unfortunate news that Dan Jezek, the owner and founder of Bricklink has passed away. He had such a profound impact on this hobby, it hard to even consider. It is quite possible that there is no other person who has affected the Adult Lego Fan community as much as he did. The hobby would be much the same if any of the other fan sites had never existed (including this one), but the hobby would be a very different one if Bricklink had never been. We owe Dan an enormous debt of gratitude. - Brother Brick

Without bricklink, most of us are unable to build our childhood hobby. Dan had contributed greatly to the community and will be remembered for what he had done.

Lego Arcade Part 1 & 2

This is the second part:

Was wondering how much time was spend on production these clips, plus the sound effect of the actual game itself. These classic games from the 80s & 90s are the best!

Chile Miners Rescue October

To hugs, cheers and tears, rescuers using a missile-like escape capsule began pulling 33 men one by one to fresh air and freedom at last, 69 days after they were trapped in a collapsed mine a half-mile underground.

The miner on stretcher with a soccer ball on top looks interesting! Click on the picture to enlarge it. Readers might like to check the inspirating rescue clip on youtube.

Dracula's Castle by Mark Kelso

Inspired by the 1931 Dracula movie starring Bela Lugosi.

Happy Halloween, everyone! Better late than never.

The Great Hall looks fantastic and the light that comes from the windows really adds to the whole "haunted" environment. Count Dracula himself holding a candle looks great and the image with the fireplace and the painting above it is just like a movie scene.

This is one of the best haunted MOC, outstanding photography skills.

300 Spartans & King Leonidas

King Leonidas & 300 Spartans

Well Lee Jones had achieved what my AFOLs had thought of collecting 300 spartans from the Minifigures Series 2. It will be 300 + 1 including Spartan King Leonidas.

He is currently working on the Perisans to create a battle scene.

Thanks to Brother Bricks.

At the Lego shop

Was in town yesterday, so I just snap a picture of the lego shop at Plaza Singapura. The first time visiting the shop, checked on the mini figures & key chains.

The giraffe at Bricks World was made using Duplo bricks, it has a missing horn, it will be good if they can repair it.

Lego 30061 Attack Wagon Review

Lego 30061 Attack Wagon

30061 Attack Wagon is a set that was rumoured to be planned for release in Summer 2010, although as of October 2010, it still has not been released in the US. It includes a siege cart and one Dragon Soldier armed with a sword. This is the only Kingdoms set that includes this exact minifigure, since he has a rare Pirate face from 2009 which has side burns and stubble markings.

From lego wikia

Total Number of pieces: 36 (with 2 extra pieces, the tooth & green tile)

Head of a pirate with side burns

Well this is a fun set and will be good to have a few of these

30062 Target Practice is a LEGO Kingdoms set that was rumored to be planned for release in Summer 2010, although it still has not been released in the US as of October 2010. It includes a Lion Archer, two green apples and a chicken leg.

Another rumour set is Target Practice 30062, and I can confirm this set is really a rumour, not avaliable for sales.

UPDATE 5 Jan 2011: Earlier, I thought this set was a rumour, it only appears recently in the market, the quantity is much less (actually very limited) and more expensive. Check my review for this set.

Lego Echo Hoth Battle Scene

Today, I was looking at lightings (LifeLites) for toys, came across the picture above, doing some tracing, it lead me to the following...

The footprints...

Picture of Mark to show the size of the project.

100,000 pieces of bricks, estimate USD10,000 and 7 months of work. Greatly impressed by the pure talent, hardwork, determination, endurance, patience and well deep pockets.

From my copy... it was mentioned in Star Wars The Visual Dictionary, the recreation by Mark Borlase took 4 years to build.
